TPS for Email channel
This article mentions the default TPS for email channel and expectations in terms of the time taken to process the Target Group.
For every tenant that has an Email channel, the following process is followed:
-
2 Dedicated IP addresses are purchased from AWS SES by default for every client who needs an Email channel. This means, by default, every client with an Email channel will be provisioned 80 TPS.
-
If a client requests for more than 80 TPS, then the respective account manager will further discuss the request with Webex Campaign's L2 team and proceed as per the existing process.
-
Assuming a scenario, if Webex Campaign's L2 team creates a single Email Router by default for a tenant and the client will likely run 5 concurrent deployments, then the Router TPS is configured to 16 emails/second (80 / 5 = 16). This is to ensure that the queue does not build up causing potential ‘TG abandonment’ issues.
Below is an expected time to process the Target Group.
Deployment Target Group | Time to Push |
---|---|
A Target Group size of 100k emails | will take just under 2 hours to push. ie., (100K/16/60 = ~105 mins) |
A Target Group size of 500k emails | will take under 9 hours. to push. ie., (500K/16/60 = ~525 mins) |
If you want to achieve a higher TPS then please get in touch with your account manager.
