Rename a Datastore

You can rename a datastore as per your requirement. The backend datastore name cannot be renamed once created. Only the display name on the UI can be renamed. This can be helpful in correcting any typos at the time of creating a datastore or realigning the name of the datastore to appropriately reflect the downstream workflows where the datastore gets used, which might not have been obvious at the time of creating the datastore.

To rename a datastore follow these steps:

1. On the Datastore list screen, click on the ellipses icon of the required datastore.

2. Click Rename datastore.
3. Enter the new datastore name and click Update.
