Deployment Approval FAQs
What happens when 1 out of 1 approver has rejected the deployment?
Each time a deployment is approved or rejected, an email is triggered to the deployment creator as well as to all the approvers.
What happens when 4 out of 5 approvers have approved and 1 rejected the deployment?
Once a deployment is rejected by even a single approver it’s status changes to ‘Rejected’. An email will be sent to all approvers (including those who already approved) along with the deployment creator. After amending the deployment, the creator will have to select the approvers once again. The deployment creators can choose to select exact same approvers as before or some other approvers. Based on the selected approvers, an approval email will be sent and the approval process will be initiated again.
What happens when 1 out of 1 has approved, will it auto-activate or deployment creator will see 'Activate' button and it has to be activated manually?
It will be automatically activated based on the deployment schedule.
What happens when the deployment could not be approved before the scheduled Start Time?
The deployment will be activated even if it is approved after the ‘Start Time’ as long as it’s still one hour before the ‘End Time’
What happens when the deployment is approved by 4 out of 5 before schedule Start Time and 1 not approved yet and the scheduled start time is passed?
A deployment is considered approved only when it is approved by all of the approvers. So in this case, the deployment will be in ‘Approval Pending’ state even after the ‘Start Time’ is passed.
