Facebook Business Account Integration with Webex Campaign

The steps to integrate Facebook with Webex Campaign are:

Create a Business Account on Facebook

  1. Go to https://business.facebook.com/ and click Create Account.

  1. Enter Business and Account name, and click Next.

  1. Enter Business Details and click Submit.

  1. A confirmation message appears after the creation is successful. Click Done to close the screen.

Create an Ad account in Facebook Business Manager

  1. On the Business Manager screen, click Business Settings .

  1. Click Add Ad accounts on the screen that appears.

  1. Click Add and then click Create a New Ad Account in the screen that appears.

  1. Enter the account details.

  1. Select My business and click Create.

  1. Go to (https:\business.facebook.com\ads\manage\customaudiences\tos?act=<AD_ACCOUNT_ID>) and accept the terms of services.

This would enable custom audiences for your ad account.

Request Access to Client's Ad Account on Facebook

This task has to be performed by Webex Campaign L2 /Operations team.
After a client shares Facebook Ad Account ID with Webex Campaign's Operations team: [email protected], the L2/ Operations team will perform the following steps:

  1. Log on to Webex Campaign Facebook Business account https://business.facebook.com/ and click Webex Campaign.

  1. Click Business Settings.

  1. Click Ad Accounts under the accounts menu. The Ad Accounts screen appears.

  1. Click + Add and select Request Access to an Ad Account.

  1. Enter the client's Facebook Ad Account Id and request standard access to Manage campaigns. Click Confirm.

  1. A confirmation message is displayed.

Authorize Webex Campaign to manage Ad Account

On receiving Webex Campaign's request to manage Ad Account, go to Business Settings and approve the request.

  1. On the Business Settings screen, click the Requests to view the requests.

  1. Click Approve on the received request.

Verify whether the client has accepted the request

This task has to be performed by Webex Campaign L2 / Operations team. This task is to confirm that the client has accepted the request and provided the required privileges to manage the client's Facebook Ad Account.

Webex Campaign will not be able to interact with the client's Ad account if the required privileges are not provided.

  1. On the Business Settings screen, click Ad Accounts.
  2. Select the Ad Account and verify the privileges that were given to the Ad Account.

Add Client's Facebook Ad Account to System Users

This task has to be performed by Webex Campaign L2 / Operations team. The client's Ad Account should be added as an asset to Webex Campaign System User so that the client's Ad Account can be updated by Webex Campaign using Facebook Marketing APIs.

  1. On the Business Settings screen, under User > System Users select Webex Campaign.

  1. Select the Ad account and click Add Assets.

  1. The Assign Assets screen appears. Click Ad Accounts.

  1. Select Client's Ad Account and enable Manage campaigns. Click Save Changes.
